About Inkference

This project owes everything to Ink, the excellent scriptable markup format by Inkle Studios. It has long boasted everything needed to enhance interactive stories just the way we want.

All Inkference stories are valid .ink files, and they’re technically playable on any Ink player. However, some scenarios may be authored with free-text entry or informed-but-flexible NPC/narrator responses, as well as other flourishes.

Inkference formatting and tooling will be fully open sourced under MIT License as soon as possible. We want others authoring and even publishing Inkference scripts on their own, and hopefully contributing back with fixes and improvements to the core functionality.
